I was actually shopping for a brown set that was a deeper shade of brown but I kept it anyway. It is so pretty! I still wear it quite often and everyone loves it! The bracelet is a little snugger on my wrist than I would prefer but it's not too bad. It looks very elegant and adds lots of class to a simple outfit.

At first I was a little disappointed in the color of the Amethyst in these studs. It is a very light stone color. I was hoping for the rich dark color, as shown here on the product page. The set I received was very pale, light Amethyst. I bought them to be worn in my daughter's second piercing hole, along with a set of dangle earrings. Unfortunately that won't work because the dangles are the nice, dark, rich Amethyst color, so these studs won't match. They are still nice studs though and my daughter will wear them with other earrings, or alone.

Another thing to be aware of is that the post is not center set on the stud. The post is attached to the side of the setting. The post is actually pretty long too, so I wouldn't recommend these for a small child because they would most definitely be poking them behind the ear. It also seems like they would be a little difficult to sleep in due to the length of the post.

I still gave these studs 5 stars because they are well made and are very nice sized. Just because they won't work for the specific purpose that I bought them, does not take away from their quality. The price couldn't be beat either with the 30 percent discount on top of Amazon's already low price! I am still very happy with this purchase and I would recommend these if you like the light, pale shade of Amethyst.

A gift box is included and the earring themselves are inside a small dark blue velvet pouch. There is a piece of cotton in the gift box, but it would have been nicer if it was the foam type of insert so that you could attach the earrings to it for a nicer presentation for gift giving. All in all I AM happy with the purchase and I would recommend these studs. This is really a beautiful earring tree. It holds approximately 26 pairs of earrings. Not only is it sturdy and attractive, but my earrings look great on it; and doesn't take up a bunch of room on my dresser. It was delivered in 6 pieces that screw together very easily. I received the order quickly and in good condition (no dents, damage or otherwise).
